I thought about this when my first wife was pregnant the first time, and so I sat down and really thought about it. It seems so horrific, and I don't care what anybody says, I know that child is in tremendous pain. Is there any other time in life that you would want to put your own child or any child through so much pain.
Yeah, I'm cut because my parents thought it was the normal thing to do, and no I don't remember it, but that doesn't mean that I didn't feel it at that time.
Was the way that we were born so bad that we had to mutilate our children? Is not what the universe created good enough?
Don't get me wrong, I like the way my penis looks, but I'm sure I would have still liked it uncut too, because it was mine. Free to play with anytime I wanted.

before my daughter was born, SWMBO and i went back and forth on this. we finally just decided to wait until after she was born. of course she knew the sex and i did not, so she knew it would be a non issue.
with the twins, i was still very adament about not getting it done. the arguments.
Hers--daddy was, normal, biblical, hygeine, they would get teased in school
mine--daddy did not have a choice, not biblically nessacery to get to heaven, medically not needed for hygeine, and if anyone was staring at their penise in the locker room they will beat the snot out of them.
we spoke to dr's, our minister, research on internet, friends and family. ultimately one of us had to back down. my pastor gave me the best advice. where was the threat, and resolve that. our threat was to our marriage. i gave in. however, during the healing time, mommy changed all diapers. any time there are issues, all mommy. don't call daddy, cuz he didn't do it. i will preach to my boys about it and let them be sure to make a decision on it before they get married.

Thanked: 150I'd say yes. Because it is still an issue with women, the research behind the decreased chance of aids contraction is solid (they say the extra exposure of the circumcised area creates slightly tougher skin wear the HIV virus enters, thus reducing the chances of contraction), and because I have never been in a situation where I said "You know, I really need just a little more skin, right here (points to Johnson)."
That said it's your preference, ultimately.
