Yeah even though its in its own bracket I should put "So over here, in the non colonials, the people just don't care" that line before the one you quoted to help delineate. Hope it helps you.

Thanked: 1Since this thread is still going, might as well post some satire that's actually funny:

To be totally honest, the Obama's have not been their own best advocates. Mrs Obama's statement that "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country" certainly didn't help their perception any. Plus the hoo ha with the nutty minister's sermons. For someone so smart, to not notice the statements over the years shows one of two things: (1) he's a bad listener (2) he rarely attended church, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt...I could be cynical and say that he subscribed to those views, but I have no proof. His flip flops haven't seemed to hurt him too much, but does concern me a little. Personally, my gut instinct is to be very afraid of the man.

Thanked: 0amen brother eye patch
as for the original topic... perhaps I got this confused with another thread
allow me to clarify what I meant
there are quite some number people living in the US that have no feelings of loyalty but rather live here simply for the economic benefit
one distinct group is " African Americans"
many hold Africa as their home country (even though they have never been there and wouldn't live there) and use the US for everything they can
I'm sure some of those 8 million Muslims feel the same way
example?
seems Bin Laden spent some time here didn't he?

You might consider rereading this
there are quite some number people living in the US that have no feelings of loyalty but rather live here simply for the economic benefit
one distinct group is " African Americans"I'm of the opinion myself that a US citizen ought to identify themselves just that way (as Americans or United Statians perhaps) without the African, Mexican, Italian, etc etc necessarily and constantly attached to the identity, especially for 4th, 5th etc generations.

Thanked: 0ok........
it would seem to me that racism is defined as
Definition of racism - Merriam-Webster's Student Dictionary
or the definition that I have in my Websters Ninth collegiate dictionary circa 1983 is as follows
"A belief that race is the primary determinate of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race"
or
"racial discrimination or prejudice"
perhaps someone can clarify how I am being racist?
askin a serious question here, not trolling
BTW, sorry to.. sort of hijack this thread, but on the other hand, there have been multiple accusations of lack of loyalty to the US on the part of the Obamas
After all, isn't the cartoon (albeit satire) poking fun at accusations of black separatism ?
