oh they are! I met one the other day at the train station, and one glance into his evil eyes let me know that he wanted nothing more than to kill me and suck out my tasty brains! I ran in terror, but was accosted by a clever conservative who picked my pocket while telling me about the oil industry.

The artist himself has said it's satire and meant to point out the absurdity of attacks in the media .
"I think the idea that the Obamas are branded as unpatriotic [let alone as terrorists] in certain sectors is preposterous. It seemed to me that depicting the concept would show it as the fear-mongering ridiculousness that it is."
Regardless of how you feel let's judge the candidates on policy rather than smears.

Thanked: 50My point exactly. Truth to tell, I've never in my life met anyone who believed what was just described as "liberal" belief. The people I know who describe themselves as "liberal" are some of the most patriotic people I've ever met. I don't always agree with them, but find that it's pretty easy to have a respectful discussion with them. Wish I could say the same for "conservatives."
What can you say to someone who believes that Obama is a Muslim and if you disagree, you're a traitor?

If you want to met a few come to my town, we have them on every street corner.
I'll grant that the artist is depicting the worst that has been said about this couple in an attempt to amuse. The fact that Barack was unable to see the humor and laugh at his situation tells me a lot about the man himself.
I find the fact that a picture like that can even be drawn with less than the utmost exaggeration an extremely sad statement about this presidential race.

I see nothing wrong with Muslims, freedom of expression, art, afros, and secret handshakes. Nothing wrong at all, I can't figure out why this picture is provocative in the least
What satire?

Thanked: 50It's satirizing the rather hysterical belief on the part of some people that Obama is a Muslim, that he and his wife are unpatriotic, and that they support terrorists. The concern is that some people will believe that the picture is an accurate rendition.
Do you think anyone will believe that? As hard as it is to believe, I think some people will.
