Hmmm, lets see. Working on my Porsche Speedster replica, playing the Japanese flute, woodworking, wet-plate photography, astronomy, taking the sharp edge off of lots of razors ops:

Man,
Im a jack of all trades  and a master of none.
I love shooting as well, from plinking to precision "target interdiction" I just got a .356 Win I cant wait to lay into an elk with, maybe this fall...just maybe.
I do some minor forging, blade smithing. That is really dependant on my living situation. While in Utah I could forge my heart out... but here in San Diego it's just too damn "urban" to be firing up the charcoal forge and beating on an anvil... the tennants below would not appriciate that at all
Drinking Gin (Citadelle, Quintessential or Tanqueray), Knob Creek, Makers mark...Drinking in general
I do enjoy playing with this little gem, and fishing in general. I personally perfer sitting on the bank of a catfish-infested lake to surf fishing, but fishing is fishing :P

I'm just starting to repair vintage fountain pens .... such simple things as cleaning them and putting new ink sacs in 'em .... I started this because I like fountain pens, plus theres a lot of similarity in materials and tools with razor rescue/restoration. Hey, you can even hone a pen nib!
My longest running interest has been taking pictures, these last few years with a digital rather than a film camera. I can spend hours online looking at photographs other people take .... then hours more studying the one I've done.
And of course, I have piles of razors all over the condo .... on the desk, on the floor, on the furniture, in boxes ready to sell, in boxes needing to be worked on ....... ALL over the condo .... I probably should be working on some now, LOL

I like chasing women, cigars, fine liquor, fishing, fly tying, shooting, reloading, camping, scuba diving, flint knapping, woodworking, being a pain in the rear and complaining. I think that about covers it.

So often, people ask about your work. And that's one aspect of who you are, but I think one's hobbies say a lot about a person. Good question, Lynn.
I coached soccer for about 7 years, until my oldest child moved on to other interests a couple years ago. Have another one getting involved, so I may start up again.
I play guitar; I like knives, mostly slip-joint pocket knives, but I also like khukuris; I mess with potted plants; I like to cook some. Recently, we've gotten a new hot oil cooker, and I'm playing with frying recipes. We had a fish-fry tonight... fish, fries, hush puppies, etc. We call it calabash night.
I read a lot of Charles Dickens and other Victorian era stuff. I'm reading "Our Mutual Friend" (Dickens) right now. I only have 3 of his novels left to read.
I do a lot of stuff with my kids, all girls.
I've started teaching my teen-ager how to shoot, so we've been going to the indoor shooting range a bit. Starting her off with the rifle (.22 single shot, bolt action), but she complains that "I need something with more bullets." A gal after my own heart. But she's emptied a box of 100 in no time, a single shot at a time. I have a semi-auto .25 pistol that's fun to shoot, so she'll get more time with that soon. You may have guessed that I'm not a big gun guy (but may be at some point).
I like doing old fashioned kid stuff with my children, like flying kites and those balsawood airplanes with the rubber band, playing checkers and the dreidel game, and pier fishing.
Well... that's me.
Parry
Oh... Here's one of my fav books. Written in the 1890's. Too much fun.

Thanked: 1I like making things with my hands. Custom knives at the top of the list, then restoring straight razors. I may make a few custom str8's as soon as I finish the book I am currently writing on the lighter side of jail.
My wife and I both shoot trap. She is almost as good as I am. Some days she beats me. I actually enjoy those days. Can you imagine a wife who was happier getting a new shotgun than jewelry for her birthday? The jewelry would have been cheaper, by the way. We love to shoot all types of guns, but don't hunt. Kinda lost my taste for killing things after Viet Nam.
I like to write with humor, but I am not very good at it. You may have been first hand witness to that if you have my CD on how to restore straight razors.

Thanked: 0Fun topic and great way to get to know people you never really get to meet.
Well before getting married I loved motorcycles and racing superbikes. I held a race license and spent way to much money going fast. If you think razors are a bad (expensive) habit, try racing.... I married a gal who lost a best friend to a motorcyle accident, so that has caused some tension. Currently I am bikeless and hopeful. Though my racing days are over. all though, cage racing... Well thats safer :-D
Sailing has always been a huge part of my life. While I am currently boatless, I will always have a place in my life and heart for sailing and boating in general.
I love to read all kinds of stuff, really anything goes. Just finished, The Fountainhead, and Shogun. I am currently reading the National Geographics History of Civilization.
Since meeting my wife, I have learned to enjoy gardening. By that I really love digging holes where she tells me, and moving bags of mulch, rocks, stone, etc.. I do however enjoy sitting out and enjoying all of her hard work. I can't wait to see what she will do to the new house.
I have started to rekindle an old interest in woodworking. I have started looking at all kinds of fun stuff to buy, so that I can build stuff for the new house. I even took the 3 car garage option so I will have shop space.
