Heh, my wife is scared to death of these razors. She admits it's an irrational fear and that I probably won't hurt myself, but she has stipulated that when we have kids they don't get to see dad shaving. I figure either she'll warm up to it or she won't. No skin off my face.

She thinks I am touched but as usual she supports me all the way. She does not watch.

My lady thinks it is extremely "manly". When I first started using a DE and shaving brush in the spring, she told me how "incredibly sexy" that is. Now, we do have a long distance relationship at the moment, so she not seen the stuff I have amassed. For her birthday, I sent her a Saville Row Badger brush, a tub of Taylor's Lavender and a Lady Gillette Long Handle razor. I was a bit apprehensive waiting on her reaction, but she loves them!

Default SSDD (Same stuff different day)

My wife has just added this to a long list of proofs regarding my sanity (or lack thereof). My daughter (only 7-years-old) also thinks her daddy is just a bit unusual--her words, not mine.

I can only hope that this hobby will be added to the list of things that at first were tolerated, then ignored, finally appreciated...examples include homebrewing, single-malt scotch, and playing the violin.

I'll keep you posted as to the progression.

My wife thinks it's pretty damn cool; manly and all that. She thinks I am a little obsessed with the whole thing, silly girl. Anyway, she's a little nuts to have married me, so I guess we are even. Here are the Korndogs.

My wife loves it. She is really into the close shaves and now loves me to SCENT UP prior to dooing the deed. You cannot beat that in a relationship!

She loves it. In fact, she took one of my razors and just started on her legs like a pro. But she's into cool stuff like woodworking and the like, so I'm not surprised she digs it.

    Thumbs up Update

I had to dig up this thread.

Around Christmas time the Mrs. was asking why I don't use a brush and I told her I wasn't that interested. Maybe she was probing. It was Christmas after all. Then she said "If it were me I'd definitely want one of those soft brushes on my face. I think it would feel so nice".

Then, last week her best friend was over practicing her manicuring on my gal's nails ~ *sings* "Beauty shool drop-out. Go back to high school" ~ and just before her friend left she drags her into the bedroom to show her my razors, and says to me "where's my favorite, the one with the little ducks?"

She's also told me that when she hears me stropping in the morning (from the comfort of her pillow ) she finds it comforting.

So my suspicions have been confirmed. She actually likes the idea.
