Thanked: 17one could argue that this is "dubya's" fault because these "loans" that banks have been giving out have been small bank killers for about 2 years and he didn't even seem to look for a resolution until the meltdown. now in his defense, the white house may have been looking for a way to resolve it, we'll never know. i don't really think it's his fault, somewhere there is some bank exec that is hated everyone because he thought sub-prime mortgages were awesome. hopefully he's a greeter at Wal-Mart now.

Thanked: 17If i had to say, i'd say section 3. but, i don't think this is his fault. he didn't create the bank killer or let it spread faster than the common cold in a kindergarten class. and i'm sure you're right by saying he found out after it was too late, much like the rest of us

"Wait a minute. If it was Clinton who signed the legislation that dismantled the bank regulations that led to the mortgage/ bank crisis, how does G.W. Bush take credit for leaving Obama with the resulting nightmare?"
Oh, I get it. Bush serves as the president of the United States FOR 8 YEARS, and the blame lies with the guy who preceded him. Guess 8 years wasn't enough time to address the problem. Then let me correct my post: It was actually BILL CLINTON who left behind the current economic nightmare. Silly, silly me.
