It's about time somebody covered this!!
first I agree, this needs to be clarified the type of zombie. We all know that they aren't zombies if they move fast and think like that. 28 days they didn't die before coming back IIRC, it was an infection that drove them mad like that. you see some of the real late stage ones when they're trying to escape from that compound, they seem to be slowing down. they're really fast in that one that takes place in the mall too, but not overly bright.
the key though, is that all zombies are killed by detaching the head or killing brain activity with a blow or shot etc. In addition to a standard arsenal of firearms I'd carry a kukri as mentioned, and a naginata would be great for slow movers. 6' shaft with a 1' razor sharp blade on the end, would be good for fighting from elevated positions, truck beds etc. protective gear if they were the blood born type. (versus saliva transmission via bite, still need gear but less coverage needed).
If it spread big I'd also move the family and small group of friends somewhere very definsible and good for the long term, I've got my spot picked out for any apocolyptic/epidemic situation.
I don't know if the swine flue is the first stage, but I definitely look to China for the origin, all the problem viruses (swine, avian) seem to be coming from there right now.

As long as velociraptors do not attack at the same time we might have a fighting chance!

Now now, this isn't a gun trivia thread.
They are real zombies, like Shaun of the Dead, with the majority of people being zombies. I will say that some are the runners, but most will be the run of the mill, classic zombie.
