The very best thing that fly ever did was give its life to divide the democratic base

Thanked: 586Hey Jonny,
I have put this out more than once in other threads to the attention of other members. I try to avoid these political threads because I don't think anyone really cares what my opinion may be on any givien subject and I certainly don't care to hear about or argue with your opinion or anyone else's opinion. On this particular subject I am not sure I even have an opinion. However, I couldn't help but notice your post I quoted. That's alot of namecalling there. You write with apparent certainty that all the people involved with the group known as PETA are "braindead, insane, drug-addled and hypocritical." How many PETA members have you interviewed? Are you qualified to determine their sanity or the quality or their brain function? You have also made the absolute determination that everyone involved in the group are "extreme leftists"(what does that mean?) "Yuppies", "douche bags" (what is a douche bag?) and "morons". Well Jonny, you certainly seem to have some very detailed intelligence about PETA members. You even tossed out what you are "sure" their opinions are regarding Roe v Wade. Now I don't doubt you know what you are talking about. I just am curious where you get all this very precise and remarkably personal information.

the remarks of PETAs founder are public (believe I posted a few earlier in the thread) and clearly classify her as a complete douche.
So I guess the question we really need to ask is, who is douchier? The douche who founded PETA or the douches who follow her?
informative aside: in colloquial American English, to call someone a douche is functionally equivalent to calling them:
1. smarmasaur (superlative: smarmasaurus rex)
2. yuppie prick
3. self-aggrandizing tool
4. egotistical hippie
5. two-faced jackalLast edited by jockeys; 06-22-2009 at 09:26 PM.

i think people are drawn by the idea of PETA without actually knowing what they do...
its actually sad...
i was with PETA until I start reading what they really are...
I rather give my money to groups like the dogtown: DogTown | Dogtown - National Geographic Channel

Whenever I read any article about PETA, I always end up fact checking the oficial blog.
All they said was that Obama was no Buda, and therefore not even shocked.
They sound reasonable unlike how the information entertainment industry portrays them. They are always the comic relief.
Last time I visited their website, some news sources were spreading FUD about them protesting some world of warcraft seal slaughter.... when in fact their forum members were just planning to have some fun and a few made some sarcastic comments about the suffering of virtual animals.
You shouldn't judge without checking the facts...

-PETA kills animals
I don't even need to research that, I accept euthanasia as a method of population control. As will most people here.
I love dogs more then the next person, but what good would it do to allow those animals to starve and have puppies, only to die a cruel death themselves?
