OH, come on! King of pop is a pop culture title... the industry called him that, not me. But if you want to compare his music with the music presented (I will avoid the verb "to compose"...) by Ms. Spears or The New Kids under the block (), for instance, and you do so in a scientific way - there are methods of musical analysis that conclude on the inventiveness of the composition - you will find that his music is more inventive, therefore - in my book - more interesting than the one of his peers. Maybe he had a better producer... the matter of the fact is that, even if you dislike his music, you have to admit, after analysing the materials, that his music is "better" or "gooder"
I'm not a fan but he had the groove and the beat and the dance and the show all together. But then all of it fell appart. Too bad...
And Brad is right, I guess. He was never convicted... but that's subject for another thread.
EDIT: the down syndrome joke?... brilliant! But so very politicaly incorrect! Me like bad joke!

Whether you guys liked him or not is immaterial as he is now deceased. What is material is that you write down your thoughts in a gentlemanly fashion. If you can't don't post or the mod will make your posts deceased.
No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Assuming that the news is correct which I have no reason not to believe. Certainly, his (numerous?) illnesses has been weakening him over the years to the point where his heart just couldn't "beat it" anymore.
Anyhow, I liked some of his music. And as late as yesterday thriller popped up on my mp3player and I enjoyed it.

He had big hits and a life that was scared and strange. To say he was a loaner would be a understatement. As rich as he was in life pitty him now for what he had can not go with him and if the Bible is correct there will be an eternity in a place where the worm never dies and the fire is never quinched if he did not know the One who saves.

Thanked: 151My grandfather has always said "let the dead lay". I was a fan of the Jackson Five, but after that I could care less for his music. Many of his illnesses were self inflicted. The truth hurts. The one thing I feel pretty good about is that in 200 years people will remember Robert Shaw, Sergie Rachmaninoff, Leonard Bernstein, and maybe Frank Sinatra or the composers who wrote his music. Michael jackson is like everyone else in this world. If he sticks his finger in a cup of water and pulls it out, there will not be a whole left.
