Thanked: 586How does this foolish video explain anything? Did you watch the video you posted? It said they (the maker of the video) wanted to see what "Obama voters actually knew about the campaign." It said, "So on election day we spoke to the most informed Obama voters we could find." They interviewed a dozen Obama voters...". If I were you I would do some research before spewing nonsense. The guy made the video by editing interviews with twelve people to show they didn't know the answers to his meaningless questions. Twelve people are in no way a valid cross section of a population of 66,882,230 (The actual number of people who voted for Obama). It is good to hear him try to defend Sarah Palin. She needs all the help she can get.

Thanked: 234You shouldn't.
That is pretty much the whole point. By destroying what is close to them, or to others, it is a mark that nothing matters to them. These people are free of social pressures, societies norms, they act as if no one can see them. What they do will never come back to haunt them.
That is a beautiful thing, a powerful thing. You shouldn't be repulsed, you should be in awe.
I don't condone vandalism for the sake of it, but when you are fighting oppression, when a nation can come together and fight for a cause, that is something that many countries cannot do, and many others are condemned for it.
I would hope that if you ever felt the need, you would be able to set my car on fire. If not, you need to let go.

You know, the government is really ****ing me off today. I think I'll destroy all my possessions, and my neighbors' possessions too. That'll show the government.

Thanked: 234I'm pretty sure if you set your house, and your neighbours, on fire - you would get the attention of someone.
The point is, you - and probably me - have a vastly higher tipping point than the french. We sit back and take it, even when we think the whole nation agrees with us and the government is ignoring us - the french do something about it. The french **** people off.
If every one in your street, in your town and the one after that, etc etc, did what you are so sarcastically suggesting - then you sure as hell would get the attention of someone. Blocking off roads, and ports, has proved effective as well. Don't make light of social unrest.
