Thanked: 431Death penalty for sure. Though it is concerning that we are already hearing mentions like 'oh, he must have been insane'. I think that he is a sad and very messed up man who was just trying to get a free education in a field that he would eventually become well off financially and be admired for his level of education, and is selfish and when it came time to fulfill his contract plus the stress of his particular job, which has a high rate of all kinds of stress induced destructive behavior including suicide wether it is military or not, plus what is heard openly from extremist leaders in his religion from different places in the world, he ended up getting to a place where he made some very bad choices. Sadly I have a bad suspicion that he is not going to get the death penalty. He is about 25 minutes from here at B.A.M.C. right now. And what is more perturbing is that now all of these reports are coming out about them knowing about him trying to contact Al Queda or whoever, and about his extremist anti-American views. No doubt these things once again are going to be taken more seriously, atleast for a while, until we slip back into our slumber. Unfortunately at a tragically high cost.

Thanked: 151Listen guys, we need to be more compassionate. Remember the man is a bloody murdering animal. So we should pity him and throw him in a military prison where the inmates will be encouraged to "take care of him". The death penalty is so "barbaric" and since the US is still so "medieval", I think we should be like the Europeans and UK and "lock him up for good" so the tax payers can spend about $150,000/year or more to incarcerate him. We shoudl try to be like the more civilized areas of the world. Remember, we are just as safe with this man alive as we are with him dead right?
However, in the spirit of charity, I will donate the rope, potassium, bullets, gallows, guillotine, sword, or any other implement they wish to use in the prison. Because as Glen Beck says, "the greater good" as only the Ivy League educated people and "experts"can determine for the rest of us, is to give of our selves and our money to the cause and incarceration of such animals. Besides the last time I was in WalMart you could get some good 30-.06 shells (that what I call them) for $20 and I am sure a box would be effective.
I'll wager anyone here a nice vintage Genco razor that he will not be executed. However, you will only be able to collect after the sentence is read, and you will have to put up the same wager.
Not to sound mean to my fellow conservatives, but if you think justice exists in the US for the victims, you are lying to your self. When this trial is over, he will have become famous and the political left will tell us it is our fault and we made him that way. He will most likely be put in a military prison and perhaps if we are lucky they will keep him there till he dies. It would not surprise me if they let him go in about 20 years because that is where this country is going.

Believe it or not ..... I heard on the news this morning that some lawyer is concerned because the Ft. Hood shooter might not be able to get a fair trail due to all of the publicity !
What planet do these people come from ? He is going to be tried by the military and I hope that they still use a firing squad to dispatch those who are convicted of murdering over a dozen people .... or a rope.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
