I will still say yes Jesus was and is everything He says He is. Also Following Christ is not some happy happy joy joy "religion" for brainwashed people with lets say a less than average IQ.

Being a true Christian means opposition (If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.) John 15:18&19.

Also you can't come unless you are called. (And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father." )John 6:65. Also, (You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.)John 15:16.

The call is not something you can see but it is something that is heart felt and when you come and give your life to Him He changes everything not magically but you begin a new as a new born feeding on the milk of the word and as you grow you will feed on the meat, those things a natural man considers worthless but in a Christian life is priceless. Following Christ means All that I am for all That He is. No More No Less.

Consider this, If some of us here were like the smartest people on the planet what would that mean? Would it mean That those people could know lets say 60% of everything there is to know. Don't you think it would be just a bit arrogant to think Knowledge of God could not be in that which is unknown?

If Jesus is not the Virgin born Messiah, if there is nothing after I take my last breath I have at the very least help to feed and clothe the poor, Helped bring others out of addictions, and helped others find a sense of being. If He is who He said He is those who do not know Him will not simply fade into nothing but will find an eternity separated and under wrath. The choice is yours.

If some want to call this bias yes it is but any opinion is bias. You will never find Christ in books or preaching if the spirit is cold, hard and unwilling to believe.

Thinking about religion and faith, I find it interesting that with all the "faith-healing" that goes on in some of our churches, where people are cured of their afflictions by a "laying on of hands," that no one with a missing arm or leg has ever had one grow back. Is that because their faith isn't as strong?

But the question in regards to this poll/thread is did that man who is the central figure of that debate, actually exist?

But some opinions are backed by facts while others must demand your faith because they have none.

Not only did He exist, He does exist, has always and will always exist. And He is coming back, but this next time it ain't gonna be Mr.Nice Guy, you know gentle Jesus meek and mild the little Lamb of God letting people push Him around and beat Him to death in order to pay for the sin of wicked God hating Bible rejecting Christ denying selfish greedy wicked sex crazed murdering dark-hearted obstinate money grubbing humanity. Oh yes and I do say that with charity and meekness for those who oppose themselves etc etc. No He is coming in a military take over of the world with armed cavalry, join up today before it's too late. Ah, maybe we should start a new thread to find out who believes that.

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
    Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
    Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
    Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
    Then why call him God?”

To stop evil is to intervene with free will.
    Which is more malevolent?
a.) Allowing free will which will sometimes result in evil deeds
b.) Restricting free will (Slavery - a constant evil)

Apparently, "Epicurus" didn't think that one through all the way.

And if God controlled our actions could we ever know true love? true compassion? If we are not free to make mistakes and fall on our faces we could never become perfected. If we had no evil to stand against could we really ever be good?
It is the process of free will given us by our creator that allows us to be great or generous or patient in the face of evil. without this process existence would be pointless. We would be static.
