Default Speed is Intoxicating (How stupid have you been?)

When I was 17 my friend's parents gave him a brand new 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. It looked just like this:

He was one of my more mild mannered and responsible friends, but one night when we were driving to the beach, he opened it up and went over 140 mph. I was just along for the ride, but that was as fast as I have ever been on the road.

I was talking with my kid brother yesterday. He said he has gone well over 180 mph on his Suzuki motorcycle.

Anyone else want to add to this?

Nothing as fast as you crazies (though not for lack of trying). I've been up to 120 with juice to spare in my truck. I max out my motorcycle occasionally, but that's because the governor kicks in at 96

    Default RS 60 Spyder

I've had my Porsche RS 60 Spyder up to 145 mph and ran out of road. The car had plenty of room to go and was handling great. Curves are fun, but sometimes you need a little more straight away, lol.

I took my audi all road up to 115 mph on the road to Death Valley once, seemed to handle better the faster I went. Not bad for a station wagon

Fastest I've been is 150mph on my motorcycle, and all I could think about was an animal running out in front of me. I'm into riding the twisties not straight line speed.

Just a tad over 100mph on a Minnesota interstate on a 76 Honda CB750 Supersport I had once and about 115mph in a 78 Ford F150 pickup with a 400cc engine at night on a rural highway getting from Duluth, MN to Fargo, ND in a very short amount of time. I loved that truck.

Stupid and blessed that nothing bad happened in either case.
