Thanked: 735Viola!
Currently, dark matter=fudge factor.
Maybe one of these highbrow types needs to re-examine the common understanding of gravity itself on the astronomical scale, before they start inventing invisible stuff responsible for 95.4% of the (un)known universe. Maybe someone just left off a decimal place somewhere, or used english instead of metric, etc.

Give me 10 minutes to stock up on water first.... OK the bathtub's getting filled up as I type, so yes I'm ready!
I guess you're convinced because you did an experiment and it worked for you. At least twice. I've seen enough of experimental claims that nobody else was ever been able to reproduce, that I'm skeptical.
But, I certainly keep an open mind and a whole lot of tap water!

That's fine.
You keep on buying into your invisible, undetectable, friend in the sky that the pocket protector crowd dreams up by looking at inferred associations trying to connect the dots. I'll keep buying into the invisible friend that Moses, Jesus, and all the rest keep telling me about, that I have first hand inferred associations with.
And I can promise you, I am just as big a skeptic at heart as you are!

Seraphim, you really need to do some more research on the subject before you draw those conclusions.

As I already pointed out it's invisible, observable matter.
Well you're right about that and that's why they do. So do I. I hope you will too. Maybe then we can have an honest discussion about it rather than just trolling to sh.t on the theory which quite frankly looks like you're doing because you refuse to take it seriously. That's what stops inquiry in my experience and why I have made my worst errors.

I am not sure I am folowing the correct line of reasoning here, but with dark matter, we have quantifiable observations like gravitational lensing. We detect gravitational lensing, we can measure it, and from there we can say that according to relativity, there has to be a certain mass we can't detect, but which makes itself felt through gravity.
We may not understand what is causing it. It may have to do with the fact that we can only detect electromagnetism and gravity. In any case, we have something that is observable.
'God' otoh is not directly observable. You claim to have first hand associations with it, yet those claims are not observable data that can be witnessed or reproduced by independent parties.
