Yep, that's pretty accurate, JimmyHAD. He sounds like a smart man.
So you're grandfather is what, 128 now? How's he doing?

I LOLed hard at the "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news," part, too.
This should be the final nail in the coffin for those of you that somehow feel that Palin is an "honest, wholesome conservative" that's ready for the big seat. First of all, there's no such politician that meets those criteria. Second of all, do some research on her past to see what this sneaky, snarky, shady "hockey mom" is all about.
Besides, we're talking about someone that couldn't even finish out their term as governor due to "pressure" and "personal issues", so I just laugh when someone says that she is ready to run one of the most powerful nations on the planet.
As for Faux News, to watch it is your own choice, but know that there's no such thing as a "balanced" news source. I personally recommend that people get their news from a variety of sources, but not believe a word any of them say. It's amazing to see how wildly different news networks can spin the very same story. Start using your own head rather than some reporter's. All major media outlets are biased in one form or another.

I think this is a great idea. I'm always up for a laugh. Peggy Hill has, in fact, found work after the cancelation of King of the Hill.

It's not the news's role to "rip into people." That's called editorializing...and that's YouTube's job. (Edit: I didn't know what FAIR was until I clicked the link...which I saw afterwards. When I read your initial post I thought you were simply calling Fox News "fair," or maybe that they are fair because they will rip into anybody. Anyways...whups!)

I think it's pretty neat that Palin's going to be on Fox News. As this clip demonstrates, she's quite helpless when it comes to thinking for herself and memorizing what it is she should say. Fortunately, she will now have the luxury of cue cards!Last edited by Blade Wielder; 01-12-2010 at 06:39 AM.

You know - there is always the discussion of breeding ground vs. watering hole.
This thread for instance is a watering hole. Like animals have gathered to drink from the same watering hole. There is no breeding going on here. Nobody has stated anything that will change my mind here and I would not try and change anyone elses.
CNN and Fox News are also watering holes. Nobody changing their minds there either.
I can understand the need for like minded individuals to have a place to gather and drink. I would never want CNN or Fox News off the air. But I know a lot of people would like to see a muzzle of Fox - I don't care who is a commentator on the channel. But conservatives really only have one television watering hole. Liberals have any number of them to drink from.
Why does my watering hole have to be dried up also?
