Good post. I enjoy seeing people state the facts while seeming to make an unbiased evaluation. It sucks that the stimulus money hasn't been even half way used. I blame that on the slow actions of government in general. Partisanship and polar opposites in ideology have led us down frustrating path. I always look at things in the lens of dicotomy (yin/yang) and I just feel this dicotomy is exploited in government in order to keep us the people divided and bickering with each other. We are the puppets controlled by the government to think a certain way in order to support their agenda.
If we can break off from the finger pointing and emotionally charged discussion maybe things can work in a more efficient, harmonious fashion. But the culture of our government does not allow it. And although our president has tried, I believe he is as much a part of it as he is an advocate against it.

Well said! We are all pretty similar in our wants/needs and life is much simpler than some people would have you believe. Issues are often intentionally complicated by those seeking to drown your ability to reason where you need to go, so they could take you where they want you to go. More often than not, that place will benefit them at your expense.
It is very hard to listen when you're talking and I notice that they're, (politicians), are talking all the time. It is a difficult thing, but, it seems they may start out with the right intentions, but, after time, they join the team of "party" and not longer hear us...that is why I'm not too keen on cheering or blaming as it is easy to loose sight of the issue for the person/party...that is what they do, we can't do the same thing...just my way of thinking...
Anyway, everyone is good here!Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Thanked: 586Listen Mark, I have been told I am a "remarkable person." I guess that can mean alot of things. I hope I may be considered remarkable for my skills or my sense of humor or my generosity or my love for animals or my original thoughts, ideas or designs. I'd like to be remembered for the good things I have done rather than some erroneously perceived affiliation to a political party. At 0600 Monday morning I am going to have a very serious abdominal surgery. I will be away for a while, in Surgical ICU for at least two weeks, if I get out at all. If I don't get back here, I hope I will be remembered for my dog or my photographs or writing or how to make a wedge or inlays or lobster cream sauce. I can't control how you use my name but I'd prefer to be mentioned in your thread because I did something nice for your son rather than because I opposed your favorite president. If all I am to you people is an easy target because of my liberal points of view then I somehow have made a terrible miscalculation.

Hey Brad,
I wish you well with your surgery, truly and trust you be back here relatively soon.
Conservative, moderate, liberal...all subjective terms defined by the individual and to me, basically useless.
I fellow Pitbull owner...I enjoyed your video of your dog and cat.
Best Regards Buddy

Thanked: 19Check it yourself. It doesn't support your claim. You said this:
Obama has an approval rating of 47 percent from your article.
That is definitely not the lowest approval rating for a president.
Bush had an approval rating of 22 percent.

Thanked: 431Don't worry Brad.
In the end most of us don't care about the negatives.
Hopefully we have more grace and honor than to be so petty.
And I strongly suspect that Mark does.
So you're safe with us, or me for sure, although it may not always show, I owe a lot.
' .... For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.' - Luke 12:48 - Jesus
Hope to see you back on here soon, healthy and hearty.

Thanked: 431Check it again bud, the WHOLE thing. At this point in his term Obama has the lowest approval, at this point in his Bush had 86%. Go look it up, or forget about it and go on with your deluded state of affairs.
Yes Bush had a low approval, at the end of his 8 years.
I didn't make up anything.

Thanked: 19Wow I guess you don't even realize what you claimed.
Did you even read what you wrote?
You made two claims.
and
The first claim is wrong. I didn't make any comment about the second claim.
And again with the deluded comments? Is that your stock response to people who point out your errors?
