35 and never married. I hope that one day I'll meet someone special. Until then it's razors and books for me!

24 years last month to the first lady, of course i didnt get married until i was 30, and was just having to much fun living in ANIMAL HOUSE Like the movie, so at 30 i figured i got it all out of my system!!! god love her

It'll be 2 years in September, but my wife and I first started dating about 11 years ago. And I've known her since I was in 6th grade. When it's right you just know.

I don't know how to vote since I've never stood in front of a preacher or JP and declared that I did. I had a one year trial live in with a woman as in ancient Gaelic custom. We parted ways after that year she and I.
I've been with my "wife" for 14 years now. I married her in that first year giving her a claddagh. She married me back 12 years later by returning the sentiment while six months pregnant with our son.

This is a rather interesting thread, I have been reading all the posts as they come up...
I had a feeling that we were a rather odd bunch in general, but looking at 60+% of long term first marriages I didn't realize that we would be almost opposite of the US avg... I am not sure of other countries averages for Marriages but IIRC the stats for the US are just under 60% of marriages end in divorceLast edited by gssixgun; 07-10-2010 at 06:36 PM.

Oh I'll agree there. I just don't know if the 'trial' marriage counts as a Marriage.

9 years to my wife we knew each other for only 1 year 3m as friends 3m dating got engaged and 6m later married we have had a very good marriage with a few turbulent times but nothing to bad. I was 24 she is 1 1/2 years older than me.
I almost got married at 19 to an 18 year old I had been dating for a while we got engaged and where happy for 7m then she got scared and also started showing her true self. Boy am I glad I saw hew she really was before we got married.
