    Yes, it will go to my son, in the avatar photo. He will start on DE razors in about a year. I can only hope that he uses the straight when he gets older.

    Here some B & W picture of a "remouleur" in france, these men travelled villages city offering their sharpening servive for a fee. Knifes, scissors,
    razors, axes, gardening tools etc.

    My Great grand parents the day they hit ellis Island from Russia.
    Headed to San Francisco with $3.00 in thier pockets,Year was 1919.

    Here's photo I took on sunday morning in my local park Thomas Town park, and because this is an old black & white thread I will leave you with a fantastic link of some amazing old photo's from my home town a pictorial history of Merthyr Tydfil South Wales in the UK and believe me the town is 1500 years old was at one stage the greatest iron making town in the world, produced most of the steel that built the American railways enjoy, first up one of my Sunday morning photo's.

    My grandfather took these photos at the German Prisoner of War Camp, in Camp Hale, Colorado, during the 2nd WW. He was stationed there just before he left the Army in 1945. Camp Hale had 200 to 400 + captured members of Rommel’s Afrika Korps, also Rommel's personal auto mechanic was there. The Camp was small , but notorious for scandal. A relaxed atmosphere for the most part in the Camp; where the prisoners & the American soldiers often ate, played ball together.

    I found the negatives of these photos & others in a paper bag, in my grandfathers belongs, 68 years after they were taken. I do not believe he had prints made from them. I took the negatives to a professional photo lab in Ft. Lauderdale & had prints made.
