TOMBSTONE! Great movie. Let's not forget two of my favorite westerns of all time: The Outlaw Josey Wales, and Lonesome Dove. Oh yeah!

It must have been nearly 30 years ago that I watched the original. I remember someone riding a Husqvarna over a cliff which was the same model I was racing at that time ( the Husky, not the cliff). I can't remember too much about the plot, but if it was like most Charles Bronson films there probably wasn't one.

How could I forget the Dawn Patrol? Not only Errol Flynn, David Niven and Basil Rathbone (seriously how awesome is that trio for a war film) but it is the best aerial war movie ever made - good acting in the ground sequences and the flight sequences were made back in the day where the barnstormers put their planes onto their limits.

Only contender that is as good on the ground as in the air is Porco Rosso, and that's an animated film. Miyazaiki is a pilot himself and the hand drawn air scenes look far more real than any CG crap that has come out.

How about Lee Marvin, John Wayne, Andy Devine, James Stewart, Martin Strother and Lee Van Cleef, in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence.

Oh, btw there was also Vera Miles, Edmund O Brien, John Carridine and Denver Pyle.

No, but its a classic with an all star cast! Lee Marvins best performance ever IMO, although his character(with the horses help) in Cat Ballou was pretty darn close. In "Liberty Valance" he was the epitome of a real criminalistic bully.

Well, to make a modern recommendation, check out Christoper Nolans movies. They're pretty consistently good. The Prestige was actually one of the few movies I can think of that actually was better the second time I watched it. The first time I just thought it was kind of weird, but its one of my favorite movies now.

I cant really think of many modern directors that are putting out good movies frequently besides Nolan, now that I think about it. That Sci-fi guy that did the last Star Trek movie, maybe, that last one was good. Most of the other directors that I like dont seem to be doing so great or arent releasing much, like Terry Gilliam or Coppola.
