Thread: Gave up the landline today : Poll

Havn't had a land line in like 10 years.

I've had a cell ever since the "brick" phones that would barely fit into your back pocket...2/3rds of it still sticking out. Gave up my land line a couple of years ago as adding a cell (spare/back-up) to our plan only cost $15...our landline was about $50 with call waiting, 911, & caller ID. $35 a month may not be much, but in a year it's $420...that's a downpayment to Jimmy or Sham for another Escher. I call that a win, win!

I haven't had a landline in over a decade. Funny, I don't miss the service, the bill or the telemarketers.

Our cell service drops off about 1/2 mile from the house, and Hughes Net doesn't have the speed for Internet calls
