Default Gave up the landline today : Poll

So I got my first cell phone, a Droid Razr, end of December 2011. In short order I didn't even want to take calls on the landline. I would redirect to the cell and talk on bluetooth, hands free. So four months later I finally cut the umbilical cord and disconnected my land line for the first time in must be 40 years. I'll be saving around $50 a month. That'll pay for my latest escher.

    I wish

Our cell service drops off about 1/2 mile from the house, and Hughes Net doesn't have the speed for Internet calls

    We have our fingers crossed

Haven't had a landline in....ever. Cell only for 18 years.

Picked up a Google number last year and I forward that to my cell. That's the number I give out to stores and such. This way I can block telemarketing by adjusting settings on the google account.

We dropped our landline phone and cable package well over a year ago and now we save close to $1000 a year by not having either. They only calls we received on the landline were telemarketers. Good riddance.

I agree with ReardenSteel, it is nice not having telemarketers call you all the time. And it saves a bunch money.

Gave mine up about 3 yrs ago. Any one that calls me calls on my cell so I thought why pay for a landline just to talk to telemarketers.
