Thread evolution is a interesting thing to behold and this thread is by far one of the most bizarre in its evolution. There have been quite a few "Squirrel" moments with this one. Being somewhat bored, I decided to browse through all the posts of this thread so far starting at the beginning and here is a brief summary of what I have found for those who may have missed some of the discussion.

This thread obviously started out about "Fast & Furious" and stayed on track for most of the first 39 posts. Then the fun began. Topics mentioned include "Obamacare", whether or not Obama is a Marxist, turning the USA into some sort European style socialist republic, the housing bubble and the CRA, right vs. left, republicans vs. democrats, high school philosophy, social security, a dig at the Dream Act (I'll admit that one was mine), Prohibition, Child labor and the Tea Party, "...the Tree of Liberty..." needing to be be refreshed ala some sort of civil war, and the TSA ammunition purchases. I think that pretty much covers it, my apologies to any topics I may have forgotten to mention.

Uhm, I'd have thought you knew this from the very beginning. It's not the first time for congress to hold officials in contempt, so you could've simply learned from history. If they really think he's committed a crime they can appoint a special prosecutor, like a previous congress did with the Plame case, but apparently that's not in the cards.

I never thought he'd get a spanking.

As far as I can see, the stuff that goes on "on the hill" is nothing more than a dog and pony show to appease the masses who would rather not be concerned with anything else other than Dancing with The Stars and organized sports.

As I said before, you get to vote for these people on a regular basis, so when they repeatedly get the message of doing a great job (reelection rate of about 85%) you can't really blame them for taking you at your vote.
