Thanked: 1587Here:
One day while reading a thread,
A limerick got stuck in my head.
It began with Nantucket,
Moved on to a bucket,
And the rest is better unsaid!
And here is one for this thread:
A thread whose title was "Furious",
Went off in directions quite curious.
"Obama's a commie!!"
"Yeah, well so is your Mommy!!"
And the rest of the posts were all spurious!
James.

Thanked: 884I'm always right when it suits me. And when I'm wrong, I'm still right. SO there.
As for poor Eric? His daddy, Barry, is going to do everything he can to make sure that little Eric slides right on by.
Holder not to be prosecuted after US contempt vote - Yahoo! News

Uhm, I'd have thought you knew this from the very beginning. It's not the first time for congress to hold officials in contempt, so you could've simply learned from history. If they really think he's committed a crime they can appoint a special prosecutor, like a previous congress did with the Plame case, but apparently that's not in the cards.

Thanked: 884I never thought he'd get a spanking.
As far as I can see, the stuff that goes on "on the hill" is nothing more than a dog and pony show to appease the masses who would rather not be concerned with anything else other than Dancing with The Stars and organized sports.
Learn from history?
Surely you jest.

As I said before, you get to vote for these people on a regular basis, so when they repeatedly get the message of doing a great job (reelection rate of about 85%) you can't really blame them for taking you at your vote.
