If you guys want some numbers - Firearms and Violent Crime
It's Canadian information from 06 - but they compare the numbers lower down to other country's - namely Australia, England, USA, and Wales.
If you are interested.David

I pray they never forget the Winter War. This is interesting, (hopefully the link will work), found this on Wikipedia, and he did it with a Mosin Nagant, not exactly an assualt rifle, I do have one though.

Thanked: 13245How Mass Media really works....
I recieved the "Joke" version of this from a friend on Facebook and re-worded it to make a sad but true point....
Why if I am an Arab, and I shoot up a Military Base and kill people it is reported as a "Work Related Incident" and not one Liberal screams "Gun Control" (They wouldn't even call him a Terrorist)
Why if I am Black and I shoot up a street party and kill people it is reported as "Gang Related" and not one Liberal screams "Gun Control"
Why if I am Mexican and I shoot up a home and kill people it is reported as a "Cartel Killing" and not one Liberal screams "Gun Control"
But
If I am a White Graduate Student and I shoot up a Theater and kill 12 it is reported as a "Spree Killing by a Gun Nut" and every Liberal with a soap box screams "Gun Control"
Isn't it odd how the words used to report a crime tend to form many peoples opinions...
Now in all the instances above somebody(s) got shot but only one type of shooting seems to get the Knee Jerk reactions of the Gun Grabbing crowd and the Media, rather telling IMO

I sincerely thank you for so succinctly pointing out that your Anti-Gun rhetoric is based not on facts or logic but blind, hatred of something that you can in know way have experience with.. Now I no longer need to even bother reading your future posts on Gun Issues..
Yep yer a proud Liberal alright
Time for the true Liberal test question
I ask all supposed Liberals this one,,,
I don't know your family situation so let's generalize
You and your most favorite loved one are sitting quietly at home, Watching TV (Since you have eluded to "Training" in this thread) you have a cast on your broken leg from a "training accident" .. The door brusts open two unarmed large thugs rush in and grab your loved one, without asking for anything or demanding anything, they procede to brutilize them, it looks as though they intend to kill your loved one... In the drawer of the table you are sitting next to is a loaded handgun (an old Webly your Grandfather used during WW2 )...
Do you draw and shoot,, or do you accept the inevitable.. BTW if you shoot to warn they will see the fear in your eye, and take the gun from you and probably kill you and your loved one... Also you might not know this as a non-shooter but shooting to wound is not so easy...
So???? Moment of truth now, pretty tough situation, huh
Watch out I have converted many Anti-Gun Liberals into shooters with this oneLast edited by gssixgun; 07-25-2012 at 07:58 PM.

I have thought through all kinds of situations. Thinking up lines to try to stop a situation without having to fire. To come up with enough threat to make someone stop in their tracks. Witty things like "I don't want to shoot you, and you don't want to be dead."
I have come to the conclusion that this is only for movies. If I have to pull my gun I think I will start firing immediately without warning. This my best chance for survival. The person that caused me to use deadly force has forfeited his rights.
I love the video of the old man that stopped the robbery of the Internet Cafe and I'm glad it wasn't me that did it.

That's not a tough one at all!! Nope! No sir. It might be after the deed is done, but nope - easy peasy - blow him away lol.
This is the one that haunts me though. You're getting up there in age and it's late. You hear a crash downstairs and you are the only one living in the house. You call the police - grab your scatter gun and go down to investigate. As you look around you are relieved to see its only a raccoon that has entered your house and raising hell.
You think you hear something behind you outside, and turn gun in hand to look out of your front door window to see what it is... only to be shot by the cops for refusing to drop your gun.
True story according to some training manual I was reading... Moreover it's called a "good shoot" so it doesn't even make it on the books!
The point was - carry a handgun and conceal it if you can - if police see you walking around with a gun - anything can happen : (David
