Yep yer a proud Liberal alright

Time for the true Liberal test question

I ask all supposed Liberals this one,,,

I don't know your family situation so let's generalize

You and your most favorite loved one are sitting quietly at home, Watching TV (Since you have eluded to "Training" in this thread) you have a cast on your broken leg from a "training accident" .. The door brusts open two unarmed large thugs rush in and grab your loved one, without asking for anything or demanding anything, they procede to brutilize them, it looks as though they intend to kill your loved one... In the drawer of the table you are sitting next to is a loaded handgun (an old Webly your Grandfather used during WW2 )...

Do you draw and shoot,, or do you accept the inevitable.. BTW if you shoot to warn they will see the fear in your eye, and take the gun from you and probably kill you and your loved one... Also you might not know this as a non-shooter but shooting to wound is not so easy...

So???? Moment of truth now, pretty tough situation, huh

Watch out I have converted many Anti-Gun Liberals into shooters with this one
Ask them to leave, They may intend to Rob you and leave. You say unarmed, do you have a metal detector on the door to your home, you mean seemingly unarmed. BY discharging your weapon you could give your family a death sentence by being to proud to lose your possessions. There are other things they could be after but ultimately shooting could cause your family to die, there are two men you kill one and the other draws his weapon and sinks two rounds into your chest. I know it's difficult to shoot to wound, I have in depth knowledge of human anatomy from my university training. Hence why I don't think people should have access to weapons that are, in the hands of a non expert, really only be used to kill.

Also, anti gun rhetoric didn't need experience you just need to know life is important.

The pdf that I mentioned twice earlier mentions something about that. Here's the link again.

Well, that is a tough question indeed, and it has a very simple answer in my book.

    A little preface first.
In my opinion, having a loaded gun in a drawer, in a house such as mine where there are a 7 year old and a 11 year running around would make me less fit for the parenting role than I was hoping I were. That is my opinion on that, I'm not pointing any fingers, it is my view, simple as that.
The reason for thinking so is the simple fact that my little girl are much more likely to open said drawer and play around with that loaded gun than two goons actually barging in to my home.
Accidents like that happens a lot, I'm not ever entering that statistics with myself, or any of mine if I can help it.

Now, for the sake of argument, we'll put that gun in there all the same

The short answer is obvious, two between the eyes on both. In a heartbeat.

And here comes the liberal twist:
The two scenarios I have just laid out is excactly why there should be a more stringent gun-law.
In the US, and everywhere else.

Defusing that situation would be my preferred approach, each and every time, I kinda have to, there are no guns in my house.
Giving them what they want, be it valuables or whatever would be a far lower price for me than to become a murderer.
Justified or not, I do not wish to become one, nor do I think my family would like that either.

My first point of action though, should I feel that such an event could actually happen in my home, in my neighborhood, my very first action would not be to get a gun, it would be to call my real estate agent.
I owe my kids a better place to grow up than that.

It actually irritates me that a lot of people can't see that as a human you can't control your emotions enough in any number of given situations to make the correct choice. Men may burst into your home, I don't see how that make it ok to kill them, I don't even see how if they kill you or a loved one that gives you the right to kill. Nobody has that right. It makes me laugh that a lot of you are Christian and can't adhere to the 6th commandment thou shalt not kill. What about forgiveness?

While we may all disagree on this subject, I don't think that is a fair post.
There are cultural differences regarding these matters, and questioning someone's Christianity based on this discussion, is in my opinion out of line.

The gun is in a fingertip gunsafe under the lid of the table, any responsible gunowner with Children has safeguards, and teaches their kids about guns...

Trust me I have answers for just about any situation you try and toss in there I have asked this question 1000's of times and have heard just about every wrinkle that can be tossed out there..

You either step up to protect your loved one or you don't

SRH your answer is called the the Cap't Kirk, Kobayashi Maru where you try and change the rules of the Scenario to suit yourself (you might have to Google that don't know how popular Star Trek is across the pond)

What about forgiveness? I didn't invite the dude into my house and ask him to rape my wife!! Seriously I want to say something derogatory like please join us when you come back to Earth BUT if you are a man of faith... so be it! I believe that given your faith you may chose to die rather than kill if your animal instincts don't kick in.

And for that I respect you. Truly I do. That said ... wait for it... I would rather be judged by God than carried by six.

Keep up the faith brother - I hope you're never put in that situation.

It isn't just Christianity it's a matter of principle and moral fiber IMO, I'm not even religious I'm humanist. I can't imagine thinking I had the right to take another's life, nobody is superior to anybody else, some just get lost along the way.
