No, lots of river between there and here, that's just North of Colusa. I would have taken a couple more pictures, but dark was coming on quick. They've been getting fish, but all too big, and had to release them. No less than 40 inches and no more than 60. They've been getting ones around 90 inches.

Just a follow up on my bait delivery. Here's what my brother and nephew ended up with after a night on the river. They caught two that went oversize before landing these two keepers.

Went to Fort Bragg California for the day. I took my friend to meet up with some guys to abalone dive. Although clear, the sea was angry! Ten foot swells at ten second intervals being pushed by a biting cold North wind. It was one of those winds that make your eyes water when you face into it. Got a couple pictures from Tod point, from the safety of my vehicle cab, lol. No boats out, salmon season has started, but no boats out. We watched a group of adventurous idiots trying to go out. After they left the harbor jetty and started hitting the swells coming in, they'd turn around, think about it, and try again. On about the third try they had a swell send some good cold water on them and stood their little boat up damn near on end, they gave up.
looking West from Tod's point
the outlet from the harbor to the open sea, that the idiots were trying to go
the Noyo harbor, part of the salmon fleet
the little creek, Doyle creek, behind the camp
sunlight coming through the ferns
some mussels waiting to take a steam bath in some Merlot and garlic
some straight razor art, one of the crew has this for his Grandfather who was a barber
