I'll support a Texan secession if we could get their support for a California one.

Thanked: 884Probably have more trouble from illegal immigration from NM here in TX than you would from Texans in the land of disenchantment. I'm sure there would be a mass exodus all of our liberlistas that would run to Santa Fe to hang out with the rest of the old hippies.
You're welcome to 'em.

Thanked: 1185Like I said, I think this whole secession thing, for most folks was more symbolic than an earnest attempt to seceed. However, over 700,000 folks total supported it. Let's just assume that 10% were wackos that in the absence of a peaceful secession were willing to do so by application of force. That's 70,000 pissed off, heavily armed people. I'm fairly certain that would get the government's attention. Let's hope it doesn't come to that though. Kind of scary when you think about it. I'd bet that Obama's buddy Bill Ayres would probably sit this revolution out.

Thanked: 884I think the "secede" movement could be used to send a strong message to the Federales that the states are tired of having their rights stripped by executive order.
IF The Federales choose to ignore those that empower them, then it might be time to reconsider where all this is headed a LOT more seriously.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
