Hence, I found who insured my neighbor.

Waited till they did it again (the dogs) and then snapped a photo - called their insurer and warned them of the issue and that I had kids that played in my back yard etc. - emailed them the photo.

Never happened again! Insurers are not cool with the liability of dogs crossing fences and kids being given access to others yards. Moreover... insurance company's swing a big stick so to speak.

Just a thought - worked for me.
    David, that's just brilliant!

I really like the way you think David you sly fox you

Just a thought here, I would not tell anyone that you "Will resort to Violence" that can come back to haunt you in court.. Whether you plan it or not don't admit to planning it, ie: I saw the dog in my yard it rushed toward my "loved one" I reacted to protect them and fired at the dog" End of statement,,, don't even volunteer that you hit the dog

I just found this thread, and was about to suggest a legal recourse, but it looks like Dave found it on his own!

the pocket is always the way to make a neighbor behave!

Also, you don't even have to show the dogs getting out of their owner’s yard just pictures of the dogs acting "aggressive" should be enough for the insurance company to hit them hard in the wallet or get rid of the dog. i has a dog that was deemed "aggressive" and the rider to keep him was more than the rest of my homeowners insurance including the pool and flood portions. Annoyed me to no end. There were 2 fences (mine) and gates between the house and the neighbor’s property line. The sad part it was his “docile” lab that bit me the bite was not bad she got a lot of coat. A week later animal control wanted in because of my “aggressive” dog. For the record my dog was aggressive but only to outsiders and only when he was inside the house … wisely he only bit people in the house who did not belong; insurance people did not see it that way even though they never had to pay a claim.

As for the people who suggested poisoning the dog that is often considered felony cruelty to animals, it would be better to shoot them dead as that is rarely considered cruelty.

    enjoy,

Default The real facts about pit bulls...

.. the real facts about pit bulls is that in combination with rottweilers, the two are responsible for 65-70% of all human fatalities in the last 25-30 years.

They do not have a bite or attack rate higher than other dogs, but when they do attack, their rate of killing is much higher.

I can *live* with the threat that a neighbor dog might bite, but if it is a dog that might bite and is of a breed most likely to kill, I'd make it very clear to the owner that pulling the plug on their dog will be quick, especially if there is a kid in the yard.

The breeds most likely to kill
