Thanked: 369Well, the atheists faith that there is no higher power is certainly admirable.

Thanked: 3227Faith is never proof of anything but rather indicates the lack of proof. Having faith neither proves nor disproves the validity of what you have faith in. Faith can never be successfully argued except when preaching to the already converted. That is where it belongs, in a place of worship of your choice not stuffed down peoples throats by any government.

Thanked: 247This is about the separation of Church and State - not your church, all churches. It always saddens me when the church involved see's it as an attack on them. It's not about Christians! You guys are doing just fine in America! You get to moan about mosques being built, in the 50's you got in god we trust put on currency, and have the ear of the conservative right and get to invade woman's rights in the name of your god. Stop moaning.
Too harsh? Please! Get a grip - this is not about Christians - you have to see that!
If you can't see why a government official in the United States of America shouldn't be doing what he is - then you'll never know, or want to know. Seriously man - he represents all of Kansas!
What was I moaning about? I just asked you to explain a little better.
And I see that several people "like" your post. lol.
Don't be sad. I didn't even know I felt attacked until it made you sad.

Joe you seem like a great guy and I love reading your posts. Seriously.
When you began to imply that this all was a hate on the Christian faith I might have taken offence to that as living in KS, people say that all the time... and it's counter productive. Especially when Christians in KS truly have a monopoly on faith and have no problem stating as much.
I stand by what I said - you however can't say now that all you did was ask to "explain a little better" when you delete your posts! Be proud man! Own your statements!David

Guys, let's keep thus a civil discussion.
No more shots at others' beliefs, personal attacks, or insults.
