The NRA is very good at insuring membership. That they are getting than many members doesn't surprise me at all if people are buying guns like crazy - see photo in post #17.
I don't have to look at photos to know the public is buying every thing "assault looking weapon" that they can. Same goes for ammo.

The NRA isn't the ONLY gun owner's organisation that is gaining membership.

FYI, I do not and will not belong to the NRA.

I am a member of the NAGR. The National Association for Gun Rights.

That's a cheap shot Wullie! Very cheap... I don't need or want a phone thank you.

If you don't think you are getting cheap gas than you have no idea what's going on in America with respect to the oil and gas business. Clearly you want to believe what you want to believe - but look into it. You might surprise yourself.

I've got kinfolk all over the "oil bidness". I've got a VERY good idea about how that mess is run. Never worked the patch, but I've lost three jobs because of it in years past. Got a VERY tiny dab of royalties that make enough to be a PITA on my income taxes.

Cheap shot? You're the one that was braggin about being subsidized.

AND I'm getting a bit tired of shots in my direction.

Bragging!? When you fill out the form, it asks do you have kid, you reply yes, you set a subsidy!

I am glad you are making some cash for your efforts - but I can't assume you know anything about how gas is subsidized when you state:

Show me some of that "CHEAP" gas.
That would imply to me that you don't think it's subsidized (to me) - if I was trying to hurl cheap shots, I would have said "head out to your closest gas station."

    When you stated... well...

Giving you my opinion isn't hurling cheap shots Wullie.

Stating that I take my family and myself over to the government for assistance and get me a phone which we all know is code for being trash - is!!

Why on earth does the US need an association for gun rights? Aren't you constitutionally assured of these rights? [he asks with trepidation...]

My last check over a year ago was FIFTY SEVEN CENTS.

I should have put a smiley behind that phone remark. Relax.

I know you work and support your family. My wife and I both work to support ours and we take every deduction that is available. I pay a sizable amount every year as well.

I also realize why gas is close to three bucks a gallon is because OUR government is murdering trees to print more paper money.

The latest craze and the reason this post was started has also inflated the prices of A. EVIL looking semi automatic rifles. B. High capacity magazines for aforementioned rifles and unmentioned pistols. C. Ammunition of any caliber that will run in aforementioned rifles. It has been a HUGE boon the industry and the gun shops. Go figure.

The only high side I can see out of all this is that when the push falls flat on its bum, those that bought high, will want to sell low. I hope to be a player on buy low part.

Because enough people got tired of not being represented by the NRA in the manner that we think they should be representing us.
