Rust free? Pretty much. Not much old iron on the roads these days. Not much sittin around in the pastures any more either.

This really takes me back. My first car? I remember the hand tufted velvet seats and leather trim and big spoked wheels and deep pile carpeting. The only problem is I had to save money and wait until I could buy a horse to pull it. I'd show a picture but photography wasn't invented yet.

It had the 351 with a C-6 I think. Had P-track and I ran those old tall skinny 16" mud grips on it. That punk pulled a LOT of smart aleck city boy's 4WDs out of the mud when they'd come to my part of the world for their annual "beer" hunt. AS that old truck was ex-oilfield, it looked like HELL, but it ran good and got me where I needed to be when I needed to be there.
o yea the old girl has earned her keep many times over, she aint pretty but i know i can depend on her to run when i want her to.

Yeah, ten years in the army sorted me out, and i agree with all points, apart from maybe the 'pretty normal' bit :-)

This has to be narrowed down to first two cars as the first one only lasted a couple months as Bernardo said in post 36. I was relieved when I totaled my 1969 Opel Cadet.
Sort of a Coors can with the motor and a four speed. But my first Car was my 1965 Buick wildcat with 455, now that car was a blast and bought for only 200 bucks. Boy the good old days.

Sorry Jimmy, I think that's unfair...... my buddy worked for Ford and had the two-door exploding model the biggest engine they offered standard transmission and good tires and this thing was a blast to drive. If you had a mixed years correctly. Just saying back then you had to order them to get some really cool stuff.
