I guess I should have put the at the end of my post above.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Did this kid ask if you wanted help on his own accord or did his mum send him. If his mum sent him then his mum would also have to send him to work.

The reason they are a grumpy bunch is because (they of experiance) have to sit back and watch the non-experianced learn without listenting to what the grumps are trying to teach them. The young today think they know it all, when they actually know zip.

One thing I know for sure is that if those all knowing, wise and experienced grumps would had his way a very small fraction of you would be posting at straightrazorplace : Straight Razor Place instead of here, and the rest would be someplace completely different....

Or for more recent history take a look at the threads when I upgraded the site software from the previous version to this one. I made almost 80% match in the locations of the old links within the new layout and still lots of curmudgeons kept insisting that usercp is way, way clearer than Settings...
But the way I saw it was that if they really want to do it old-school, the yahoo group is still open

My understanding is that it was all his doing he asked another neighbor (Steve) at the front of the road first, and he told him to also check with me ..

I just talked with Steve today about the Bear issue, and he asked if the kid worked out for me as we shared stories I learned much more, he agreed to split a pile of wood for $10 Steve also checked with his parents to make sure this was allowed first..
The kid split 1/2 of the wood told Steve he would be back the next day to finish but asked to be paid since he needed the money, he also asked to be paid $15 since the work was more then he figured.. Steve decided it was a lot of wood asked what time he would be back to split the wood, they agreed and Steve paid the $15..

Steve finished the wood himself as the kid never showed back up
