Hi Ed, you've got two right: Mick and James - the pi tatt is a dead giveaway. The two guys with glasses [in the 2011 meet up I mean] are Sam (younger bloke with shaved head on the left) and myself (older guy with sticking out ears). Geoff was behind the camera

Great, that is pretty much what I imagined would take place, and am very much looking forward to it. I will have the gear from Larry by then so shall bring it along, hopefully I will also have "the purist" from Robert Williams, as would be great to have some of you with more experience try it and give me tips on using it. Also, will be great to see in person how you hone a razor etc
What's the etiquette regarding drinks etc? Do we bring a few brews to enjoy, or is it alcohol free?

Thanked: 983They've all been alcohol free to date mate. Coffee and tea has been the strongest beverages had at these get togethers. I'm not sure what facilities are available to us at this venue though. Mike? Do we have tea and coffee available for purchase do you know?

Re what Mick raised: there's hot water and a fridge but someone will have to bring tea, coffee and milk. I could volunteer to do that and collect a small contribution from everyone - $2 coin or something like that. I agree with the liquor free position - I'm no wowser but it doesn't really mix with sharp objects.

Thanked: 60I guess us Sunshine Coast Boys should consider a car share?
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness

Thanks Mick.
Well, Im happy to bring my small espresso machine (just a cheap nespresso pod machine) with a range of different coffees, and also happy to bring tea for everyone. Are people happy with tea bags, or shall I bring a couple of teapots as well with loose-leaf tea? Alternatively Im happy to leave espresso machine at home and can bring instant coffee. No donation required as Id love to give something back to the group which has helped me so much and have been so generous. Also, Maladroit, I understand what you mean re alcohol and sharp objectsI just thought Id check as Id hate to turn up to find others had brought alcoholic beverages and I hadn't.

Hi, just wondering if anyone in the area is planning on buying anything from SRD in the near future (next month or 2)? Shipping seems expensive to Australia, so if anyone is open to it, Id be interested in a combined order and split shipping cost.

Thanked: 203Hi Andrew,
yep - i might be getting more soon. Not 100% sure yet, but i can say i have been very happy with all SRD products and their quality. Any freight from any company in the States is high for us downunder.
Remember though, as you add more items the freight cost will increase....
Let's talk about it at the Meet and go from there.
Regards,
Adam

Hi Guys, I will be on the Gold Coast for a wedding 29th March. So, I could join you either side of the 29th. Sadly the last GTG fell through.
Cheers,
Sunbird
