    There was a guy and maybe/probably still is that works within The House of Knifes, Mt Eden on Mt Eden Road that I have read is good at razor honing. Just give them a call.

    I ended up honing my own razors so never had a chance to experience his work.

    Hi SimonG,got mine done at House of knives-3 now but I also splashed out on a 10k stone and doing my own now.
    Not great at it but improving in leaps and bounds

    Hi all,

    This very same store has a set of genuine Ivory scaled razors.Just been in yesterday and seen them.I don't want them but someone else might.

    Thanks for the replies. I actually hone my own razors, but wanted to make sure that the guy who started the thread did find someone to hone his. Can't bare the thought of someone shaving with a dull razor - ouch!

    I am the guy that started this thread and I hear you about the "dull razor"-very painfull way to go.
