I think that I would like to change my vote to A!
What is the point of French cuffs with a long sleeve jacket?
How about black jeans?

Most suit jackets do have long sleves, I would say the models shirt sleeves are too short, if he stretched his arms out, most of his forearm would be on display.
The shirt sleeves should protrude from the jacket sleeves slightly, thus the frenchness of the cuff would be discreet yet evident, and the cufflinks occasionally peeking out for the world to see, like a flower that only blooms after the first dew, and closes at the touch of the sun.
Blue jeans are more traditional, and will stop Carl being monochrome with hints of sepia.Last edited by edhewitt; 08-01-2013 at 11:08 PM.

While looking for some hideous checked or tartan 3/4 sleeve jacket pictures, to fulfil Carl's need to select something hideous or grey, and 32t's need for carls cuffs to be on display I stumbled accross a few pictures that may broaden the options for carls jacket.
1 brown leather blazer.
Not necessarily a pic of the perfect one, but if it was slightly worn in it might be a bit Indiana Jonesy, for weekend smart casual.
Looks good with jeans and isn't grey.
2 mid thigh length coat, this isn't a brilliant example, but you will get the idea, would be good as it would work casual or smart.

I am fairly sure John Cleese is wearing a smock with French cuffs, and twig and poo cufflinks.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Thanked: 983I try not to wear smart clothes. They only highlight how stupid I am. At least I'm smarter than my smart 'phone though.

I guess it would depend on the situation, farm handing in a shirt with French cuffs, pressed trousers, and highly polished boots would certainly not be smart.:-)
I am keen to have a renaissance of style, but I do have a tendancy to do whatever I am doing in whatever clothes I am wearing, and as I am a dirt, grease, paint and miscelaneous other muck magnet, I will have a lot of were nice clothes, or I will have to remember to get changed all the time.
I have been found in my pyjamas, slippers and dressing gown at all sorts of odd hours in my shed making things, or just tidying up and listening to the radio.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
