I never went in for the battery rattle on guard duty. I liked to sneak up on the little F***kers and surprise them. I folded up some A4 paper to act as a long slim wedge between the batteries and part of the inner wall of the Maglite. End of rattle.

I still have my 5D cell from my security days, I also have a 2D cell, a 2AA cell in my daypack, a AAA cell in the saddle bags of the bike and another AAA cell in my camera bag. All Maglite's of the older variety. Yes I know there are better torches out there now, but until one needs to be replaced, I think I have enough for now.

Haha, Maglites have had their grand days, I bet you are one of "those guys" who still use a straight razor!

One of my old friends... have to get a new one!

    Betalight - Torch

Keep it in your pants front pockets and you can save some bucks on condoms... well no, the condoms go over the flash suppressor of course.

Yeah, I have that headlight as well.
Working in fuse-boxes and inside racks in computer halls, it is absolutely stellar!

Don't need no fancy flashlight. When the pigs go oink, oink, oink I leave that part of the lake & fish elsewhere.

The greatest flashlight ever made was this one, powered by pure Funkadelic!
