Do you remember what is below? I would from the 70's.
Reminds me of one of my favorite camping areas that was flooded in 1924.

No, I grew up in a different part of the state. I did notice a couple of old roads that went directly down to the water that match up with roads on the other side of the lake. We saw plenty of evidence indicating cattle pastures were once in the area. Some of the oak savannah is remanant of original grasslands.

I have only been to your neck of the woods once but thought it interesting to see algae covered bridges etc. that were exposed at low water.

By chance will you be 'Glamping' anywhere near where I was in Utah and spent the night in a motel? I'd called you to let you know I was alright and where I was and you said you'd 'camped' either there or near there? Sorry but I can't for the life of me remember where it was/all I know I was tired and the motel was right there. I do remember that there was only one small store in the town. Yea I know, that's not much to go on.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Roy,
That might have been Kanab or Panguitch. Panguitch is where the waitresses wear side arms (loaded) for real.

Thanked: 0I would love to go camping soon after a rigorous mountain climbing activity. Lately, I think due to my stressful job, i have this need to connect with nature and breath fresh air.

This past September I went out camping for a weekend with my 3year old son and a friend and his 10 year son. It was my first time camping and I sure did enjoy myself and the kids had a blast. We are planning do more trips in 2019 starting in spring.
