Thanked: 884That doesn't surprise me about the Fed thinking that's a short barreled rifle when the stock is attached.
Is yours an Inglis? My old Nazi had the old style extractor. Yours has the new and improved version that came in sometime in the 50's I think
Not sure how long a range you'd get from that cartridge coming out of that barrel length. Doubt it would a lot left after a couple hundred yards and I imagine the trajectory would look like a rainbow at that distance.
I've shot 9MM Steyr and .38 Super stuff at junk a couple of hundred yards out, but those cartridges are considerably hotter than the 9x19/Parabellum.
It would be fun to play with anyway.
I see now that yours is an FN. Nice pistola!Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 884I missed the ambi safety, that front sight was throwing me. LOL
It just wasn't looking quite the way I remembered them looking.
Nice piece anyway, just checked the web and those things are still bringing some serious change.
I still think 500 yds/mtrs is wishful thinking.
Best I recall, I never even raised the rear sight on my old tangent. Shot it quite a bit. Was fun to get both of them going from the hip and roll a can out of sight. For some reason, I can shoot those things from the hip better than any pistol I've ever tried that trick with. I used to burn a couple of hundred rounds a week "back in the day". Been a while since I've burned any thanks to the ammo shortages.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

I love my Colt 1911, I love my big S&W .357 wheelguns, but my daily carry is a Glock 26.

Sister-in-law has the same thing, just in the purple-esque, gaseous-like finish(can't think of the name). Nice shooter. Solid performance. I, too, am not a fan of the .380. Too much snap with questionable results. Just my opinion. I favor the .40. IMO, the zip of a 9 with the stop of a 45.
I'm a believer that any firearm I own or want to consider owning, must be confortable to my hand. There are many that fit that category, so I go with a few favs. Glock G23, HK P7M8,,, Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 7.5" stainless with Hogues...
Great thread, btw.
