Thanked: 1936I almost went with a Defender, but chose the Kimber due to the aluminum frame being a bit lighter. I haven't shot a Defender, but with the extended beaver tail you don't have any worries shooting it. Yes, it's a handful...but it's comforting to have on the hip no matter where you are.
I've been thinking about one of those "grip condoms" like yours Earcutter, also may have to look into those magazine plates as I am running mostly the Pierce +2 bottom plates. If you are running "inside the waistband", how's it on the shirts? That's where I get any "print", if any, is the heal of the handgun.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Lol... I guess you would think that with my love for smaller handguns I would carry. But I don't.
All I can tell you, if this helps is at all, were I to carry and I had no extra cash, I would trade in the Block. It wouldn't print on a cotton tee... but in the summer I wear those microfiber shirts, and it does on those. Bad.

I talked to a former police officer once and he told he had been shot in a gun fight in a motel room. He said something like 30 rounds were fired by 4 people, two of them officers...it just occurred to me by reading your post that that might be what happened...all four of them were blind and deaf....I asked him what it felt like to be shot and he said, 'it hurt everywhere...'

After the classic beauty and sexy pre-Walther PPK James Bond association they're a reliably shooting mixed blessing. I own one for sentimental reasons. If I was going to BUY one I would either be looking for a collectible safe princess (I think the Navy model is special, for example) or a psychiatrist.

I was tattooing a guy about 45 years old, on his chest. He had what looked to be a scar from an old bullet wound and I asked him about it. He was 19 and robbed a jewelry store in West Palm Beach with a handgun. When he came out the door the police were coming up. He took a shot at them and one of them returned fire, hitting him in the chest with a 357 magnum. They threw him in the squad car instead of waiting for an ambulence, rushed him to the hospital, and obviously he survived.
I asked him what it felt like to be shot with a 357 and he said it burned a lot. He went to prison and since he got out he said that he hadn't so much as jay walked or gotten a parking ticket. Learned his lesson I guess but you have to be pretty hard core to rob someone at gunpoint and then shoot at the police.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
