They don't have a rebuild for that one yet?
I have a Smok and a mini and have rebuildable coils for them both. Builds are actually very easy and it only takes a few times to get it down. Plus cuts your coil cost down to next to nothing.
I'm not sure I'll ever give up vaping, I like it much better than cigs and you don't smell like an ashtray lol
Glad you found another flavor you like. It's nice to have choicesLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Thanked: 1184Okay, just going by what I remember and most of that might be info from my vape shop guys. The Beast has a rebuild coil but the Baby I am not sure is out yet. I was going to try the Beast but was told I would really go through the batts and juice if I did. <y favorite coil for my Baby is the Q2 so far. best between 55 and 65 watts. And that I have tested to be true as far as flavor goes.No burnt offerings smooth on the throat clouds.
Phrank here is the site>>> Cake Vapors BUT... I got it for 12 bucks 30ml at local shop. ( come to think of it the kid may have priced it too low. Going back to pick up all he has in stock tomorrow LOL ) It is available as a concentrate so others may make it as well. Check with your shop and maybe save. I will be getting the concentrate. Hard to describe all those ingredients other than strong coffee flavor but no bite , no sweet after taste yet you know the sweet is there. Maybe an espresso strength but nothing hard about the flavor ???? If you like coffee you will love it. Ha ha you got to try it and tell me what you taste.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

haha now you're in for some fun!!
I highly suggest Cotton Bacon Version 2.0 for your wick. Great stuff, pure cotton and no additives.
Also I like Clapton coils, but that's a different topic. But you can buy wire from Lightning Vape already made into Clapton wire.
Did the guys at your Vape shop show you how to make coils? If not there are a TON of youtube vids on it.
Good luck and if I can help you out in any way please don't hesitate to askLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Thanked: 1184I actually got to watch my buddy at the shop make a couple coils. The Big Baby RBA comes with Claptons and I am sure I can buy them pre-made. Will walk slowly down that alley. Smok says " All coils should be tested before using and after they have been broke in " ? Gawd more toys I need ?
Also noticed the coils I have for the Baby must be made of Kanthal. When I set the 2/3 up for temp control mode it kicks right back to watts. (safety feature tested) :<0) They have a line of coils that can be used for temp control just haven't found the best price yet let aloe where to get them. Hoping the Claptons will work for temp control. The Smok site has all kinds of stuff I would love to buy but the site doesn't allow me to shop ? Maybe need tax id and register before it will. You know they make red and green tanks too ? TEASE ME lol.
Actually joined ECF ( electric Cig forum) and still trying to figure out how to send PMs there but I already met a guy sitting on some family heirloom straights. A DE shaver I am trying to convert :<0)Last edited by 10Pups; 01-15-2017 at 10:52 PM.

I do mostly rebuildables, the cost is pennies per coil. Takes only a few minutes once you get the hang of it.
I would suggest going with a "dripper" to begin building. This gives you more space to work and you don't have to worry about too much or too little cotton, within reason. Also stick with single coil builds. Doubles are significantly harder to install, need to be identical and don't really give alot of benefit. But it is satisfying to accomplish.... Dual coil with split the resistance of the first coil in half
Temco wire is the cheapest and cleanest wire I have seen. Bought my nickel wire through them. 28ga and 250ft, maybe halfway through it with both me and my gf using it.
http://www.temcoindustrialpower.com/search.html
6" is roughly enough for 1 coil with some waste, so 25ft is approx 50 coils.
Wire gauge will help dictate the resistance of the coil. Lower the number, lower the resistance. Less coils will also equal lower resistance. Same with smaller diameter rod used to wrap the coil.
This will help. http://www.steam-engine.org
Clapton coils are a little more finnicky to set up so that they burn evenly. This is easier to do with a "spaced" coil, where the wire doesn't tough itself.
I agree with the cotton bacon. One pack lasts me forever. Something in the order of 6 months with 2 people using it.Last edited by dinnermint; 01-16-2017 at 05:45 AM.

Thanked: 1184I have been reading about Rayon..........for a wick that is.
Rayon Wick
- wicks better
- lasts 10 times longer
- delivers increased coil saturation
- has a pure neutral taste
- its good till the last drop
- its sturdy, holds its shape, and stays put.
- much more forgiving on density.
- it releases juice freely to the coil
- capable of higher power than other wicks
- typically needs a bump in your normal power level to compensate for the saturation. A 3-5w bump.
- instant action
- very 'moldable' to fit specific needs.
- increases nicotine hit
- its extremely efficient (thin the tails)
- the vapor produced is a more vaporized mist that provides higher absorption of nicotine and flavoring components. (Its estimated that a 20-30% increase occurs)
- its high efficiency provides Ultra Clean vaporization for minimal if any gunking after 100s of mls (juice dependant)
- highly resistant to burning when it has juice within reach
- Rayon can speak to you, by showing any problems with discoloration.
- rayon wick can last a long, long time
- your coils can remain clean 4 - 10 times longer than other wicks. Eliminating the need for dry burning.
- you can run the entire wick completely dry with rayon - before you even get a dry hit (when wicked correctly)
- low maintenance
- more freedom to just : vape on
- makes vaping more enjoyable by an elimination of many common problems
- With regular mods we have gone 100, 200, and nearly 300ml of juice on rayon with no maintenance!
Is it safe?
- safer than cotton
- evidence shows vaping is safer with rayon
OK let's talk about the safety question, as ridiculous as it is.. The fact is there was a vast amount of misconception as to what Rayon even is. Misinformation about Rayon, or cellucotton rayon, was quickly spread through the community and trickled down from the top as well.
So what is it?
Rayon Wick is pure cellulose, more pure than can be found in nature. Cellulose is the building block of plants throughout the world. You eat cellulose daily. Rayon has been around for 150 years. It has been highly studied.
No one has been able to produce any scientific evidence or proof that there is anything, whatsoever, of concern in Rayon fiber.
Its used by surgens, labs for testing biological samples because its purity doesn't contaminate the samples like cotton. Cellulose made by an identical viscose method is also used in Food products like sausage casings. Cellucotton / rayon has been used internally for many years thanks to Kimberly Clark. Rayon was used by doctors heavily in WW1. In all this time if there was something wrong with it we would know.
Rayon from many different manufactures has been tested by oeko-tex, world leading textile safety tester, and it has been certified free from any harmful contaminates and even those that could be potentially harmful. The FTC defines rayon as pure cellulose.

Thanked: 26Always meant to try Rayon but i gotta agree with what others have said about the cotton, Cotton Bacon v2 is great stuff. I currently run a Tsunami 24 RDA for when im at work, i like not having to worry about a tank full of juice in my pocket when jumping on and off forklifts, dual clapton build at about .3 ohms and 50 watts.
When at home im using either of two RTA's either an Avacado 24 or a UD Bellus, again built around .3 ohms, the RTA's are great and give the best of both worlds, being a rebuildable deck and also having a juice tank.
I also love that both the Tsunami and the Avacado have that nice big velocity style build deck which lets me put some beastly clapton build in there.
Regarding homebrew liquid, i have made all my own juice for about maybe 3 year now, saves a fortune and i really do brew in bulk, usually around 500ml minimum.
I would recommend not skimping on the steeping as its where the flavour really comes through.
A good idea i found when trying a new flavour is i put together a little 5ml bottle and just give it a week to steep, then i will brew up a big batch after if i like it, so maybe when you settle on a flavour, get your mix on and then visit your store and stock up on a few weeks worth of juice so you can steep your concoction.
Most places sell nicotine now in smaller bottles, i use to buy a big bottle and it goes brown when it oxidizes and looks very un appealing, now i buy a few smaller bottles and keep them in the freezer.
