I know about the spelling as I used to work with an Aussie he spelled it the same way--took awhile to figure out a few things that he'd write or say. I had no idea what a 6 inch adjustable spanner was when I first started working with him.
With that said, he was a great guy to work with. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 4206Firestones on her, American made. Going to try to bump them up to 50 as suggested as they are brand new tyres to look at. Still have the molding nibs and flash off on them even.
Bought an ultrasonic cleaner on the deal o the day on amazon for straights I want to clean still in their scales so may dunk the carbs in it for an even deeper clean before I really start to have fun. Aft float bowl keeps sticking closed on me and requires the odd tap to wake up again. Not cool.
Still waiting on the new right front spindle nut from Moss, among other goodies, so today’s drive was on the upside down worn out nut. But I just had to try.
Won’t be really testing her out till the fronts all done up right so I have time for another carb clean up.
Ordered replacement center bonnet hinge caps and hardware as their is only the front one on the car currently. Lots of little things to work out to keep me busy. But next step, temp tags and registration..

Yeah! Beauty of the oldies as we have 5-year tags for Antiques.
Full-blown insurance on my Tiger, Model A, and the fiddy costs less than 500 a year.
Tags are about 70 each. 5 years. They give you 2500 miles a year.
No worries there. A new sticker on the fiddy plate. new plates are in the mail?
The title beat it here!

Thanked: 4206Putting 1951 plates on her and skipping the antique registry. Think I might be putting more than 2500 on her per year, hehe.
Insurance will be around 400/year with a book value that increases as I restore her at a rate of 2.5% month till the value peaks at around 25k. Rates will freeze accordingly as well.
Haggerty is who she’s insured with. They specialize in vintage insurance up here."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Here, we have to submit the plates to DOT to assure proper authenticity . No inspection required.
On those, I have authentic 67 plates on the Tiger. Same on the '31 PU.
Hope to find a 71 MC plate for the fiddy before 2023!
