So..How do ya keep the arm around her when you have to shift constantly?
I prefer to keep my hand on her leg. Handy!

I had a girl who would shift the gears with two hands on the shifter exactly as I told her to.
I simply kept my arm around her and drove....

    It's true!
    Been there, done that.

Oh you guys that grew up with fancy cars and paved roads. Those old 4x4 trucks were not nearly as romantic, but you could get to some very secluded places. . .

Mike, a small amount of judiciously applied solder to close the drain holes instead of JB will work well
and will not degrade the flotation of the floats. They are brass aren't they?

I thought about solder but couldn’t find my kit.
Will be saving these brass ones and might revisit the seals, if the new ones from moss give me any issues.
Spindle nut is in Canada finally. Yeah.
Maybe get the temp tags and registration all taken care of by next weekend. Then I can actually go out on real roads and see what she does.

I think that judiciously might be the key word here and I am not disagreeing with you but I have tried to solder the last bit on a sealed container before and the air in the container gets heated up and expands. Then it creates a vacuum that sucks the solder in before the solder cools. What have I been missing?

A new float would work great.

The last time I tried to solder a sealed container was an experimental fishing lure......

So I am no expert but wondering if there is a tip or trick that I am missing.

I have used an electric (high output one) soldering iron. It heats the small area quickly enough to not create that problem.

I was thinking about a Weller with a thin tip like i use for electronics. Crank up the heat, use some flux and touch the solder and tip. I use a liquid flux. Not much heat will build up because if it did id have other parts falling out. But, your right about heating up a sealed item. Guess i never thought about that or experianced it. I solder on boards, not floats.
