So the steering arms are MGB. Are they integral to the steering knuckle/spindle or do they bolt on?
You are saying TD knuckle/spindles with B steering arms?
To me, a steering knuckle is the part between the control arms which has the spindle coming out.Last edited by sharptonn; 08-30-2021 at 01:27 AM.

Lots to read on this. You got away with the die on one side and the other not?
Yeah. Another die and another inner to try I suppose....

Thanked: 4206The entire front wheel and disk assy is from the B. The original TD steering rack and tie rods will connect directly to the steering horns on the wheel assy’s, but need to have an inch cut off for the TD wheels to still track true and align. The B used a spring and seat in the knuckle to keep it tight whereas the TD uses shims so the knuckles are different.
Still hopeful my guy can save what I got and I can put all this in the challenges bested category tomorrow.

We have nomenclature issues!
I don't see how you can save that. If your other side came out fine, I tend to think try again.
Good luck!

Thanked: 4206This is where I got the inspiration to do the swap

Might make more sense in the walk though on the attached, cause ya, nomenclature is everything and I bet I’m butchering the terms, hehe."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

I hope you're keeping a book on all these mods Mike. I once had a 78 Ford pickup truck that I put a 429 in from a Mercury station wagon. I had to buy a kit because Ford never put a 429 in a pickup truck but it's apparently a popular mod for 4X4 off-road guys.
That mod was nowhere near as extensive as what you're doing but it was still confusing buying parts. If I needed something for the chassis or steering I had to buy it for the pickup truck. If I bought anything for the engine and transmission I had to buy it for the station wagon. I feel sorry for the guy I sold it to. He was a real numbnuts and even though I told him about it I am doubtful he could keep track of all of that.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Thanked: 4206The side windows, yup. They need to be folded a certain way to fit I’m told, and then there’s supposed to be a hinged panel in front that conceals the whole thing.
Sits here installed.
Then the floor butts up against the leading edge of the box and the back and sides get covered up. Voila done.
