Thanked: 4206Was doing the math and basically the light should come on at roughly a quarter tank remaining.
Working on to the front suspension still getting the trunnions cleaned up is taking longer than expected, but the tapered rubber inserts need to fit all the way in tight to a step, and there is a fair bit of rust after 70 years I’m trying to remove, but stopping at the original base metal. Just taking time with files, nothing pic worthy. These tedious steps are the ones nobody but ourselves appreciate gents. But everyone will appreciate the tight proper ride these steps ensure.

Thanked: 4206Well 4 f-ck,, someone complained to the city finally about my garage extension….
Guess who has till Labor Day to get this thing back on the ground and the extension down……
Half expected this but now wondering who’s the Karen?? Anyway, that timing should work out for the paint to be done and I can rearrange things and get her back into the garage proper..
But it still burns my craw."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Yup. It's been a good run anyway. Time to sort, organize, store away stuff you won't need.
Tidy up a bit to make some room and proceed.
Just a bump in the road!

Maybe it’s changed but when you first did it I thought it looked acceptable for a temp setting, it was not permanent. I do realize neighborhoods have rules in some places. Here where I live, it’s pretty tough. Even our trash can cannot be seen from the street, you must have a fairly petty neighbor.
You have what is a nice property, so it’s a person who is miserable with their own existence and wants everyone else miserable. It has happened to me before, but I’m sure you don’t want my solution. I do hope this doesn’t require you to cut corners this close to a masterpiece“ I,m getting the impression that everyone thinks I have TIME to fix their bikes”

Thanked: 4827That’s the problem with city life. Too many people don’t have enough to do and wander around picking fights and making a scene. I’m glad you have some time to get it all sorted out.
