I can indeed John, even though it’s still a ways away.
Onto doors this weekend. And of course, they took the lions share of abuse over the years.

Going to strip them right down, and seal them, then shave them down slightly to ensure everything fits,

Was able to get the skins separated, and then the inner wood pieces undone as well!

Between what I’ve saved, and what I acquired along the way I have two different door skin pairs, and all the correct pieces to build two, tighter, lighter doors.
First things first is the wood epoxy, but that’ll have to wait for another day.
Short holidays over and a new week starts tomorrow..
Hope my southern friends have had a great 4th of July!

Also clamped down, and nailed together all the main body.
Used the silicon bronze nails, and everything just tightened up and metal settled into position.
    Lots more door clearance already.

I take it that your shop is exempt from CCOHS----

Looks like most of the wood just needs a coating of the total boat epoxy.

Stuff really draws in to dry punky wood, specially if you cut it with acetone first.
The one pillar that holds the door handle hardware, well it’s pretty messed up.

I think I can just mill the damage flat-ish and bond in a new chunk of hardwood, then carve out the ramps and undercuts as shown on the opposing ‘good’ piece.
Those cuts are for the handle box to sit true and parallel, so will need to be pretty accurate.
I’ll use G2 and wood screws on my splice piece, so that should be plenty of strength.
    Cheers.
