Couldn’t find that por15 alternative in Canada that some of you have suggested, so stayed with what I can source.
Besides, washing parts down and degreasing isn’t a problem when everything is disassembled.
So, today, after much prep, I am sealing my rear tie bar, rear tubs, and some of the other initial pieces to prepare for the final build..
    Pretty exciting step up here.
Nursin* a sore left deltoid and feeling the post second shot funk today after getting my last vaccine dose yesterday, but it’s all good gents!

The prep has been applied, leaving a fine zinc phosphate coating over everything.
    Now everything needs to dry.

Why did you wash down those panels with POR Metal Etch ? Thought you were going with epoxy over the bare metal. Maybe Iam missing something here….just trying to save you

I am using Por15, then epoxy primer on the panels, as I heard they are compatible.
Figure increased corrosion barriers and when I get to the block sanding, I’ll have one more layer before I hit metal while sanding.
May be overkill on the prime steps, but I don’t mind as there will be a fair bit of building up to get things flat again I’m figuring.

Applied the 15 straight out of can with nylon brush and really worked it into my welded seams and joints.
Stuff is supposed to be great in the cracks..
Will apply one coat of epoxy prime, ideally gray, or other colour, while the panels are still apart to really ensure full corrosion protection.

Whatcha mean gents? Was this not an extra step in protection.
Work like a sub primer, bond to the steel really well, then the epoxy primer to it, and filler needed to that, then Top coat and clear?
Please fill me in if I made a mistake
    Thanks

I tried…..but some folks feel the need to re-invent the wheel.
