Engineers design it.....but it takes a mechanic to make it work

Ain't that the truth! I have seen a number of occasion where a contractor would look at a blueprint and say, "That won't work" so the architect and the engineer come out and look and in the end they wind up doing what the contractor said.

    That looks kinda cool Jerry.
Like an antique, ski chair lift delivery wagon.
Would be a great limo for Cinderella,, or the Pope maybe, hehehe.

The Mikuni conversion would be around a grand, to convert to EFI would prolly be the same in parts, but require a load more planning and electronics.
Shall decide later.. just an idea at this point.
Spent the day in the yard. Had to capitalize on a beauty day to get ready for winter.
The wood repurposed into a kayak stand,,done..

And a winter seat for my lads morning coffee and smoke to boot.
On to the rest of the yard and maybe get the snow blower running and tuned up.

Mike I think you should buy that carriage and put a supercharged V8 in it. . It would be quite a sight on the drag strip.

Maybe I’m hi jacking, but mike and ness, I just took my tank off and I think I’m going to do a little ghost painting! You’ve inspired me, ness your knowledge of paint is something else, I learned just listening in

No hijacking tc, that’s zactly what I like to read.
That ghost pearl is very user friendly for anyone with a little experience. At least that’s my limited opinion so far.
Can buy it from lots of specialty shops or on Amazon even.
Then Mix it with your clear of choice as The mid coat.
Ness’s experience with paint and body has been a great help to me on the MG.
    Been blessed there..
Look forward to seeing the results.
I’m going to buy more shades for when I get back to shave crafts and brush handles again.
See it blending with alumilite as well as with clear coat as they are all urethane based.

But figured since I had stuff roughly in position, I’d take a look at hood alignment with my old bonnet halves,,,,
    Damn she’s getting close gents..
    Cheers!

It’s my old ones! My working templates for alignment and all that. The fresh ones are wrapped in moving blankets, safely tucked up in the rafters. These are the ones I’ll modify to fit the carbs, if I don’t decide to upgrade to mikuni’s or something else. The side panel on the right side was really messed up for the old carb fitment and will need significant sheet metal work to make work..
Honestly, leaning towards the Mikuni’s. Proven results, bolt on performance.

Reminds me of a freind that did a V6 conversion to a SAAB Sonnett.

He said he used half of his wifes bra for a mold to get the air cleaner to clear.......
