Not a purist thing but really is the Shizzle, IMO. Smooth and reliable, FME.
Fun fact...On motorcycles..The much maligned Amal of England invented the Mikuni carb.
The Brit 'big 3' (Triumph, BSA, Norton) insisted upon tickling their Amals and the plan was sold to the Japanese.
The rest is/was history.Last edited by sharptonn; 11-30-2021 at 04:10 AM.

Thanked: 4206The Mikuni’s have been serving it up in the bike world for ages as I understand it.
Their twin conversion kit for the tr3 is the one I’ve been eyeing as they’ll provide simplicity and performance bump, as well as fit into the original bonnet lines, which is really the biggest seller.!
Seems the single Weber with manifold idea is pretty hard to source these days, cept if I wanted to slap a supercharger on her and really mess up my hood lines, hehe."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Looks like this one tucks away Mike.
Or you could do something like this...

Thanked: 4206That top pic looks like the Jansen on the original 1.2 liter mg. Would have been a nice find were mine still original for sure Paul. Netted maybe 30% bump on the stock 65 hp that little engine put out.
Still have that beat without forced aspiration.
That bottom picture,,,, just wrong to do that to a GTO,,,,

IKR! It looks like one of those keep on truckin' drawings from the 70s doesn't it? Sorta cartoonist. I figured you probably had that beat with the bigger engine already. More rhetoric than anything.

Is that like a double Super Charger in that GTO? Or is it just a plastic piece glued on the hood to make it look cool? Whatever it is, it makes the car look like cheap!

Thanked: 4206Yup, looks to me like they went two stage supercharger, maybe with an intercooler mid level, but frikking ugly!
Then they accentuate the ugly by extending the side seams and fouling up the bumper lines.
Bet it goes like stink,, but looks like a hit doing it.
A well polished turd, is still a turd."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 556Looks like it’s designed to only go in a straight line. How could he see around that growth to steer?

Yep. You can't really say it's putting lipstick on a sow because that is ...or WAS a cool car. But the adage about (paraphrasing profoundly) one customization too far makes it become rigged applies here.
