Thanked: 4206And Jerry, no kiddding that would be an epic ride that I have considered. Will have to wait till the real road tests before committing to something like that.
I see the Great Lakes tour being possible at least and that would have me hitting up a fair swatch of the northern states and provinces.

Thanked: 4206I’ve always liked midnight blue on bikes, but TC’s choice with the pearl is gonna be pretty head turning.

Great idea Mike! You could culminate your trip in Florida. I'll be standing in the yard waiting with my flat cap and my scarf on.

Thanked: 4206Celebrating her 71st birthday today with some Bombay gin and a roaring effigy in the yard.
Also dropped half the dough down on her twin 42mm Mikuni upgrade today. And expect they will be done and shipping just after Christmas.
Happy birthday Noddy ole girl!"Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4206Decided to get new hydraulics all around and I’ll keep my originals for spares.
And getting the pedal box finalized.
Now I can run the final hydraulic lines and tie it all in.
So decided it was time to take apart and clean my speedo and tach’s.
Fingers were to grimy to snap pictures but basically there’s a flywheel, return spring, and magnetic disk inside each of these that needed cleaning and relubing. Reminded me of the guts of a mechanical watch sort of.
Have new custom cables on order too as the old ones were pretty worn on their square drive ends, and since moving the engine forward they are both too short now anyway,
Details, details….
Cheers gents."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4206The cables are coming from a small shop in Medicine Hat Alberta.
Guy knows his stuff cause he asked for my shaft square measurements as well as securing hardware.
Good thing too as the tach is .125”, but the speedo is only .105” across the flats. I didn’t even notice and would have had one of the two cables not fit if I just ordered online from a traditional parts shop.
Splitting my time between shopping, the car, and shoveling now that winter is trying to get a hold of things.
Cheers."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."
