    I know!

Marmite, Vegemite, Promite are all basically the same thing. It's a salty dark brown paste made from boiling down and concentrating the spent yeast from the brewing industry.

You spread it thinly on toast or whatever and it make a really nice savoury taste that you either love of hate. Me, I love it.

Marmite is the original British version and is darker and stronger flavoured than the Australian Vegemite, possibly because the Australian brewing is all lager whereas the British version is made in Burton upon Trent where they still make proper beer!

Promite is another one which I've not tried that also has vegetable extracts.

New Zealand produces it's own version of Marmite which is stronger flavoured than the British but a lot sweeter.

Vegemite and Promite are (or were) Australian. These days Promite is owned by Mars and Vegemite is owned by Kraft.

Weetabix and WeetBix are breakfast cereals that come in the form a sort of large biscuit of wheat flakes. They are British an Australian respectively but are also sold in the USA and have even appeared on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (Spike enjoyed Weetabix soaked in blood... )

All you wanted to know about Marmite and Weetabix.

Sandwich with peanut butter and sambal badjak.
For those unfamiliar with Indonesian cuisine: sambal badjak is paste of fried red (hot) peppers and onions.

OK, here's a microwave special I used to make. My friends started to bug me to make this all the time. First nuke(1 minute or so) one link of boudin(Cajun sausage containing pork, rice, pig blood, and other ingredients), slit it open and dump it in a microwave bowl. Then add a couple of tablespoons of chili or just canned hot dog chili, a couple tablespoons of hot picante sauce, and finally two tablespoons of sour cream. Mix it all up and nuke 1 to 2 more minutes. Eat as a dip with tortilla chipsSometimes I add sliced jalepenos if I have them. I usually cut all the recipe in half because if I'm alone and start eating it I won't be able to stop until it's all gone.

    No they are not!

Marmite is the Daddy of all yeast extracts. Vegemite is, well, all upside down. And it appears in a song by Men At Work. Need I say more?

P.S. You forgot to mention Bovril.

My wife routinely drinks brine from various brined vegetables (cabbage, pickles, tomatoes).

Also, we buy this sausages that's basically a jellied beef tongues. I believe a proper term for it is "headcheese"

And there is an oriental restaurant by us that has "lamb's testicles" on the menu. So far I have been resisting the temptation

You may wanna seriously consider eating the testicles as their testosterone may make your beard grow faster giving you an excuse to shave more often!
