Thanked: 1587Weet-bix are rectangular shaped biscuits made up of compressed wheat flakes (I think). Kind of like chip board. We eat them mainly as a breakfast cereal over here.
I can deal with marmite, but can't cope with promite for some reason.
The best thing I ever tried in the UK, sweets-wise, was clotted cream in the Cotswolds (Lower Slaughter, I think it was). Now THAT'S what I call cream

Fully endorse the cheese and bana combo - toasted on nice bread is just tremendous.
My favourite dish, which my mum is perhaps cooking in her heaven, is tripe soup - a Scottish classic! Tripe, onions, potatoe, stock and milk. Just love feeling the different types of cow stomach on my tongue, some furry, some with segments some just fat and juicy. Not so easy to get hold of good tripe anymore. Followed by Strawbs and black pepper with some Mackies ice cream (none of that Nardinis crap from Largs - only joking Garry!)

Yep, I am weak weak weak for scones with clotted cream and jam. And they have to have at least half inch of cream. I once put a dollop on the nose of my cat and it was licking away for hours!

Beef tongue is darn tasty. Anyone ever eaten groundhog (wood chuck)? Dad grew up on them so I have had a few. Then there is bear, deer, elk, antelope, moose, snake, turtle, frog, squirrel, rabbit, pheasant, quail, squab, wild turkey, dove, antelope, alligator, boar and a slew of other woodland creatures. I support PETA (people for the eating of tasty animals).
Vegemite, that is yeast durative, think yeast jelly, that is popular in Australia. Never tried it.
